Description:

Trinity Health Of New England has an exciting opportunity for a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our mission-driven specialized Inpatient Rehab Acute Care team at Saint Mary’s Hospital.

The Physical Therapist Assistant works in collaboration with the Physical Therapists and performs direct patient treatment and documentation to those requiring Physical Therapy.

You Will Be Responsible For:

  • Implements direct treatment program including using appropriate therapy material/equipment established by a PT.

  • Monitors patient and modifies treatment programs in consultation with a PT to meet the patient's changing needs as reflected in documentation.

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with clients, families and staff.

  • Maintains effective verbal and written communication with physicians and other health care professionals by providing updated summaries and daily communication as needed.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of APTA accredited PTA program

  • Must have the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
