Davis Defense Group (DDG), a very successful Women Owned Small Business (WOSB), continuously screens for Adjunct Faculty to support the Command and Staff College Distance Education Program (CSCDEP). Functional Description:The candidate will coordinate with a DDG Regional Chief Instructor to provide instructional services for the CDET seminar program. The candidate must possess the requisite skills, experience, and abilities to lead discussions, grade seminar contributions and papers, and mentor U.S. and foreign military personnel and DOD and interagency civilians enrolled in the CSCDEP seminars. The program is executed over two academic years, with faculty teaching four associated courses during each academic year. The first year covers courses 8901 (Theory and Nature of War), 8902 (National and International Security Studies), 8903 (Joint Operations) and 8904 (Operational Art). The second year covers courses 8905 (Small Wars), 8906 (MAGTF Expeditionary Operations), 8907 (Naval Expeditionary Operations) and 8908 (Operation Planning). All courses are offered in onsite, online (synchronous) and online (asynchronous) formats.

Mandatory Faculty Qualifications:

  • Field grade officer or civilian who is an ILS, SAW, or TLS graduate.

DesiredFaculty Qualifications:

First Academic Year (8901-8904)

  • Masters degree from an accredited college.
  • Military or DOD background.
  • Joint Qualified Officer or Joint duty background.
  • Socratic teaching experience.
  • Experience with Learning Support Systems (LSS) (e.g., Moodle).

Second Academic Year (8905-8908)

  • Masters degree from an accredited college.
  • Military or DOD background.
  • Planning experience (Marine Corps and Joint).
  • Operational experience (Marine Corps and Joint).
  • Socratic teaching experience
  • Experience with Learning Support Systems (LSS) (e.g., Moodle).
