Position Description: RN

BayCare Health System is currently seeking a Registered Nurse to join our outstanding and compassionate Cardiac Medical/Surgical team at St. Joseph’s Hospital . The Cardiac Medical/Surgical unit is a cardiac PCU/step-down unit with congestive heart failure patients.

The RN responsibilities include:

• Independently caring for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards.

• Delegating appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team.

• Professional accountability and development.

• Performing the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned. Why BayCare? • BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification is required

• RN (Registered Nurse) license is required

• ACLS, NIHSS, and PCCN Certification is preferred Education:

• Associates degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma is required

• Bachelors degree in Nursing is preferred Experience:

• 1 year of RN experience in acute care or 6 months RN experience in acute care with prior LPN experience and completed competency assessment is required. Specific Skills:

• Interpersonal skills

• Critical thinking skills

• Clinical skills appropriate to position

Status: Full Time, Exempt: No

Shift Hours: 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM

Shift: Shift 1

Shift 1 = Days, 2 = Evenings, 3 = Nights, 4 = Varies

Weekend Work: Every Other

On Call: No
