Education: Master’s degree in family therapy, counseling, social work or related discipline required.
Experience: Minimum of two years’ experience in the fields of social work, counseling, or family therapy or related discipline within a health care setting (inpatient, outpatient, or home-based social work). Should possess training and experience in assessing and meeting the emotional and psychological needs of patients with chronic conditions including those that are terminally ill. Must be able to demonstrate computer proficiency with an electronic medical record and office suite software.
Licensure, certification, and/or registration: Required: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Clinical Psychologist (LCP) or Chaplain requirements as stated below.
Chaplain - Undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university required. A Master’s of Divinity degree from an accredited (ATS) seminary required. Ordination or denominational endorsement as a minister of that denomination required. Completion of a minimum four (4) units Clinical Pastoral Education required for Full Time status.
Other Minimum Qualifications: Must successfully complete orientation and competency validation for position. Demonstrates critical thinking and creative problem solving skills to move patients effectively and efficiently through the continuum of care. Ability and willingness to work as an integral member of a multi skilled team.
