Laborer I - The City of Radford is looking for a Laborer I to work in the recycling center under the Sanitation Department. The successful candidate must have a valid drivers license with a clean driving record. The Laborer I will perform a variety of unskilled and semiskilled manual labor tasks. Ability to understand and follow specific oral instructions; ability to perform manual labor for extended periods, often under unfavorable weather conditions. The successful candidate will be required to work day shift and Saturdays. Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school and some experience in performance of heavy manual work. Exertion of 100 pounds of force occasionally, up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Hourly rate of pay $15.38.
