Mental Health Therapist -- Associate Level

(Full time and part time schedules available)

Great opportunity for recent graduates or therapists with less than 2 years of clinical experience!

Kent Youth & Family Services (KYFS) is looking for Associate Level Mental Health Therapists to add to their staff at their main office located in downtown Kent. KYFS is a non-profit agency that has been providing human services to children and their families for over 50 years! Our Mental Health Therapists work with children of all ages (birth to 25 years of age) and their families providing mental health counseling in group, individual and family settings.

REQUIREMENTS/GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Master's Degree in Mental Health, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy or related field and credentialed with DOH in respective discipline in good standing or working toward completion of Master's degree.

Registration with the State of Washington as a counselor in good standing.

Proven skills working with youth and families in individual, family and group settings.

Experience and familiarity with Proven Programs, Best Practices, Evidence-based service systems.

Familiarity with the King County Mental Health System preferred and CDP or familiarity with SA issues and identification a plus.

Appreciation and respect for diversity (IE: LGBTQ, immigrant & refugees, Hispanic and African American cultures). And commitment to serving the needs of youth and families and in working with a broad array of community groups in support of the agency's goals and mission.

Excellent oral and written communication skills and organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.

Ability to speak a 2nd language a plus.
