Atlantic Health System Education Coordinator - American Heart Association Basic Life Support Instructor in Florham Park, New Jersey
In your role, you are responsible for Atlantic Training Center’s American Heart Association (AHA) Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Basic Life Support (BLS) education, including education for both team members and external customers.

You are accountable to the Manager of Clinical and Quality
Essential Functions:
You will conduct a regular schedule American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) courses to meet the educational needs of AMH clinicians, AHS team members, and other customers.
You will ensure quality customer service is delivered and that internal and external customers’ needs are met.
You will schedule instructors for all courses and adhere to financial constraints.
You will maintain instructor files and ensure instructors have necessary certifications.
You will maintain and ensure security of Training Center equipment and training materials.
You will prepare regular reports on all courses offered, including financial and quality metrics; assist with development of annual budget for department.
You are responsible for selecting instructors and makes recommendations for hire; monitor and evaluate instructors periodically and as required by AHA guidelines; completes annual performance reviews for instructors. Complete required disciplinary measures for instructors, as necessary.
You will bill students/agencies for Training Center services and track payments, as necessary.
You will assist with payroll for instructors through appropriate processes.
You will ensure completion of team member reimbursements and check requests, as needed.
You will receive all course paperwork from instructors, completes a course file, issues completion certificates and/or course completion cards in a timely manner.
You will conduct instructor meetings as scheduled. Conduct instructor updates as required.
You will promote a culture of collaboration and accountability to assure efficient operations and to provide education that improves patient outcomes throughout the community and region.
You will work effectively and relate well with others, including supervisors, colleagues, and internal and external customers. You will exhibit a professional manner in dealing with others and maintain constructive working relationships.
You will assist with Clinical Quality improvement projects, on/off boarding process, and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education: Minimum of a bachelor’s degree preferred.
Current AHA instructor certification required.
Prior educator/instructor experience required.
Recent clinical experience in an emergency, critical care, or field setting preferred.
Unrestricted Driver’s License.
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, including Excel.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift 45 lbs.
