Job Summary: Huitt-Zollars' Denver, Colorado Office has a full-time opportunity for a Civil Engineer. The successful candidate will be a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Colorado with project experience in residential and commercial site civil design, drainage studies/design, roadway design, water and sewer design, right-of-way engineering, construction document preparation, and post design construction services. The candidate will work in a team environment on land development, and public works projects primarily in Denver with opportunities to work on projects for other offices. Location: Denver, CO Employment Type: 40 FT Hours Compensation Type: Salary Registration(s): Registered Professional Engineer (PE License) Education: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE).

Duties/Responsibilities: Serve as Civil Engineer in the development of feasibility/planning studies, geometric design schematics, construction plans, specifications and cost estimates. Lead daily coordination of site design, roadway design, grading and drainage design, stormwater pollution prevention plans, signage and pavement marking design. Coordinate with PMs, EITs, designers and drafters. Review shop drawings, perform field observations, and facilitate the construction administration process. Develop project proposals, scopes, budgets, and manage execution and tracking of projects. Complete projects within client specifications, budgets and schedules. Assist in preparation of project reports including feasibility studies, implementation plans, engineering summary reports, and drainage impact analyses Coordinate meetings (on-line and in-person), preparation of meeting agendas, and distribution of meeting minutes. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE). Registered Professional Engineer in Colorado. 5-10 years of civil engineering design experience. Proficient in, AutoCAD Civil 3D. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Project and PowerPoint. Ability to interact with clients and multi-discipline team members. Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills Competencies: Acquires, understands, and applies technical and professional knowledge and skills to perform job effectively, efficiently, and safely. Understands and adheres to Huitt-Zollars policies and procedures. Stays abreast of trends and pending changes within assigned area of responsibility.
