Essentia Health Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department Supervisor in Deer River, Minnesota

Job Description:

Partners with the manager to assess, direct, manage and evaluate the delivery of nursing care and patient support services to achieve a specified standard of care and quality metrics for a designated patient population. Ensures streamlined patient care delivery systems, which promote smooth patient transitions across the continuum. Accountable for effective fiscal and operational management and maintains optimum patient care unit systems, including staffing, scheduling, resource allocation, and communication. This position collaborates in the development and achievement of unit goals and performance improvement activities. Works with the manager to ensure staff orientation, education, development and evaluations are completed.

Education Qualifications:

Educational Requirements:

  • BSN or ADN degree from an accredited school or college of nursing.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years previous RN experience required.

Licensure/Certification Qualifications:

Certification/Licensure Requirements:

  • Current license with the appropriate State Board of Nursing.

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification or ability to become certified within 1 month from date of hire.

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification or ability to become certified within 1 year from date of hire.

  • Comprehensive Advanced Life Support (CALS) certification or Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) within 1 year from the date of hire .

  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification or ability to become certified within 1 year from date of hire.

Pay Range

$76190 - $114275 / year

The approximate base compensation range is posted, but the actual offer will reflect our total compensation and benefits package. The offer will be determined by a number of factors including the selected candidate’s experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, FTE, as well as internal equity among our team.
