GENERAL DESCRIPTION

OrthoNY has an open position for a MRI Technologist. This position will perform orthopedic magnetic resonance procedures, computer processing and related techniques, produce images for interpretation by, or at the request of, a licensed practitioner.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Corroborate patient's clinical history with procedure, assuring information is documented and available for the licensed practitioners' use

• Prepare patient for procedure providing instruction and education

• Select and operate magnetic resonance system and related equipment

• Maintain a demeanor complimentary to medical ethics

• Recognize essential conditions for successful completion of procedure

• Provide appropriate patient care

• Other responsibilities as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology

• Graduate from a Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation (CAHEA) accredited program in medical imaging or equivalent

• Valid NYS licensure

• Additional education in sectional human anatomy a plus

• Experience in medical imaging

• Excellent communication and customer service skills

• Able to work irregular hours
